The evolution of CCVO
The scope of work of the Calgary Chamber of Voluntary Organizations had expanded beyond Calgary to advocate on policy issues affecting the entire province. In 2022 the organization felt it was time to rebrand for greater clarity, relevance, and differentiation in Alberta’s nonprofit sector.
Using a Brand Model built by our colleagues at Stormy Lake Consulting FERVOR embarked on a renaming process. The resulting name, the Nonprofit Chamber, brought the clarity and focus CCVO needed. FERVOR wrote a Core Story, key messages and guidelines for a more powerful brand voice. FERVOR distilled their work into three words to communicate their core work: Listen Equip Advocate
FERVOR then took the new name and designed a full identity. The new logo is derived from a visualization of their core work: framing policy. The “frames” are the foundation of a new graphic language.
